About Me

Dearme Frost Middle School Families,

My name is Sara Fitzwater and I am one of the Psychiatric Social Workers here at Frost, and although I am new to your school this year, I have been with LAUSD since 2019. I received my undergraduate degree at UC Riverside in Psychology and received my masters degree from CSU Long Beach in Social Work.

I am passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive school community. I believe every student should have access to mental health resources. My goal is to help students build the skills they need to care for their well-being and make a positive impact on our community.

Please reach out to me if you feel like you need any support! Feel free to fill out a referral: https://forms.office.com/r/xymSiU9gma

Please be advised that I am checking and responding to emails Monday-Friday between 7:30am - 4:00pm only. For additional mental health resources and support, please visit the School Mental Health website and/or call the LAUSD Student and Family Wellness Hotline, available weekdays from 8 am to 4:30 pm at (213) 241-3840

This is not used for a crisis, however, they can connect you to further support if you become in crisis.
